N° 1110 details

At first, No. 1110 seems to evoke an unusual men’s shoe. Thanks to a narrow, feminine last, though, this beloved lace-up shoe proves that it is also an ideal choice for women’s leisurewear, as well as relatively casual office dress codes. Saturated cognac coloring and opulent decoration give this Goodyear-welted double monk strap that extra special something.

French cognac meets Scottish patterns

This cognac-colored double monk strap for women is handcrafted in our Spanish factory from French calfskin. It boasts premium quality and a beautiful appearance! Its striking double buckle is a distinguishing characteristic of this legendary loafer, while the detailed decoration, also called broguing or ‘Scottish perforation,’ are usually more typical of Oxfords or Derby shoes. The cut of this buckled shoe most resembles the latter, so it made sense to combine both design elements.

In addition to the obvious visual sophistication of this shoe, its rubber sole insert, which is seamlessly incorporated into the forefoot area of the fine leather outsole, is primarily of practical use. The combined outsole ensures additional stability, even on slippery surfaces, and makes the double monk ideal for daily wear.

Double Monk

Double Monk

A buckled shoe whose basic design is similar to that of a Derby. The quarters on the double monk strap are held together by two distinctive, opulent buckles. Thanks to its unconventional look, the double monk strap enjoys great popularity.

Französischer Leisten

French Last

Our French Last is defined by a narrowly tapered front section and a comfortably wide midfoot area. Energetic and feminine, this elegant last is suitable for both average-width and narrow feet.

French Calf

French Calf

This shoe’s upper boasts premium, medium-soft calfskin. The technical term for this type of leather is ‘French calf.’ This type of leather is known for its flexibility, fine texture, and soft grain.

Finish

Leather sole with rubber insert

This model has a rubber insert in the forefoot area to keep the shoe in mint condition and ward off wear and tear. Enjoy the natural advantages of a leather sole and benefit from the durability and reliability of rubber.

General information about our women's shoe collection

Goodyear-Welted

Goodyear-Welted

The gold standard when it comes to shoe manufacturing. Goodyear welting is a painstaking process that involves stitching the shaft and outsole to a thin strip of leather. Shoes made this way are extremely stable, durable, breathable, and easy to repair.

Handcrafted

Handcrafted

Mass-produced shoes are glued together on assembly lines. All of our premium, full-leather shoes, on the other hand, are handcrafted to the finest standards of quality. You can see and feel the difference.

Full-Leather Shoes

Full-Leather Shoes

The high quality of these shoes is reflected in their high leather content. Their uppers, lining, insoles, and outsoles are made from the finest leather. They even have leather heels, made by painstakingly stacking thin layers of leather on top of one another.

Construction

Construction

These shoes consist of roughly 65 separate parts. They took about 210 steps to assemble. We rely upon premium materials and traditional production methods to ensure that our footwear is of the absolute highest quality.

Gentleman's Corner

Gentleman's Corner

These shoes come equipped with a so-called "gentleman's corner". This is a small notch cut from the inside corner of the heel. This has a practical purpose—it prevents your trouser leg from catching on your shoe.

Breathable

Breathable

This shoe boasts a high proportion of leather, and has been assembled without the use of adhesive bonding—both of these factors ensure proper air circulation and prevent moisture from penetrating the surface. Dry, well-ventilated feet are healthy feet.

Delivery Content

Of course, our focus is on your new pair of shoes. But to underline our passion for our products, we enclose a few extras in your shipment. We hope that sparks your excitement about your new footwear.

Shoebox

Shoebox

Our passion for our products is reflected in their packaging. All of our shoes come in an elegant black shoebox emblazoned with the SHOEPASSION.com logo. Said shoebox is easy to open, thanks to a special opening on the side, and comes with a note on our philosophy.

Shoe Bag

Shoe Bag

These shoes come stored inside two shoe bags, packed into a shoebox. Shoe bags are a great way to maintain their condition—they protect your footwear from soiling and scratching. They also let you transport your shoes in style.

Shoe Care Guide

Shoe Care Guide

Goodyear-welted shoes last far longer than mass-produced models. A dedicated cleaning and care routine is an indispensable part of keeping your shoes in mint condition. An introductory guide to shoe care is included with your order.

SHOEPASSION - ONE STEP FURTHER

Made in EU

While most of our peers in the shoe industry are still unable to guarantee shoes that are »made in the EU«, we’re able to prove that our shoes are just that. We use leather from France and Germany, manufacture our shoes in Spain, and run distribution and logistics in Germany—our shoes are 100% made in Europe.

Environmentally sustainable

For many companies, all that matters are the profits; they fail to take notice of the disastrous conditions under which hides are taken in Bangladesh, or shoes are manufactured in China. We turn instead to traditional European tanneries and Spanish craftsmanship, to the benefit of man and nature alike.

Pricing

Our promise: since you’re purchasing directly from the manufacturer, you’re spared the typical high margins. You’re also spared the additional cost of paying for a brand name. Thanks to our advantageous wide reach and our low cost structure, we’re able to offer sensationally low prices.

Transparency

From the provenance and treatment of the leather we use, to the conditions in our Spanish factory, to delivery with our logistics partner, we don’t leave any stone unturned. We provide copious, transparent information on every step in our supply chain.

Our team

SHOEPASSION.com was founded by a pair of shoe lovers, and each and every employee focuses on satisfying our shoe-loving customers. Whether it’s graphic design, sales, marketing, editorial, or customer service, we handle all aspects of our business internally, ensuring our total control over all processes. We’re also owner-managed.

Your feedback

Your opinion is important to us; that’s how we define our business. If you’d like to express your satisfaction with our products and services, let us know. You can read reviews from other customers as well as experts in the shoe industry on the SHOEPASSION.com site. Your satisfaction is our top priority!

The values we live by

Lots of brands are quick to conceal the production methods behind their products, as well as the origins of the materials they use. We, on the other hand, have nothing to hide. From the very beginning, our products have been »Made in the EU«, in the classic sense. As such, we treat both our fellow man and the natural environment in a way that’s ecologically sustainable and ethically responsible. Each step on our supply chain is entirely transparent for you to see—that’s a promise we’re happy to stand by.
