N° 1151 details

The full-brogue Oxford was originally developed by the Scottish and the Irish and was considered a men’s shoe through much of the 20th century. Later, the beloved perforation pattern conquered women’s fashion as well. This traditional perforation on the shaft was at one point purely practical; the holes were intended to allow water to drain from the shoes of the rural population of the Scottish and Irish moors more easily. Today, this broguing is purely decorative.

A shoe like a fine brandy

Over the centuries, the full-brogue Oxford has become an essential part of classic women’s fashion. No. 1151 follows in the tradition of the famous original, further refined by its Goodyear-welted production and supple, shiny soft calf leather. This leather is predominantly vegetable-tanned with the goal of ensuring intense colouring on the upper leather. The icing on the cake: The entire shoe, from the tips of the toes to the curve of the heel, is treated with an elaborate hand finish that gives the full-brogue Oxford with closed five-eyelet lacing a nostalgic charm. Fine leather shoes are, after all, like good wine – they just get better with time.

Thanks to their vegetable-tanned leather upper and traditional style, these women’s lace-up shoes captivate with their high breathability, durability and ease of repair. The lining, insole, and outsole consist entirely of fine cowhide. An additional rubber insert in the front section of the sole makes these full-brogue Oxfords even more practical and offers secure support for the foot.

With its opulent perforated decoration along the edges of the shaft, this brandy-coloured lace-up shoe makes for a striking and yet timeless addition to your closet.

Französischer Leisten

French Last

Our French Last is defined by a narrowly tapered front section and a comfortably wide midfoot area. Energetic and feminine, this elegant last is suitable for both average-width and narrow feet.

Soft Calf

Soft Calf

Our soft calf leather is a predominantly vegetable-tanned, fully dyed leather upper from Italy whose open porosity makes the colours of subsequently applied dyes really pop. An elaborate hand finish makes this soft calf leather even more exquisite. One-of-a-kind in our collection.

Hand Finish

The soft calf leather is dyed in the Italian tannery, but it is the intense leatherwork done by hand in the factory, called a hand finish, that creates the thrilling contrasts and shadows that give this soft calf leather its unique look.

Leather sole with rubber insert

This model has a rubber insert in the forefoot area to keep the shoe in mint condition and ward off wear and tear. Enjoy the natural advantages of a leather sole and benefit from the durability and reliability of rubber.

General information about our women's shoe collection

The gold standard when it comes to shoe manufacturing. Goodyear welting is a painstaking process that involves stitching the shaft and outsole to a thin strip of leather. Shoes made this way are extremely stable, durable, breathable, and easy to repair.

Mass-produced shoes are glued together on assembly lines. All of our premium, full-leather shoes, on the other hand, are handcrafted to the finest standards of quality. You can see and feel the difference.

Full-Leather Shoes

Full-Leather Shoes

The high quality of these shoes is reflected in their high leather content. Their uppers, lining, insoles, and outsoles are made from the finest leather. They even have leather heels, made by painstakingly stacking thin layers of leather on top of one another.

These shoes consist of roughly 65 separate parts. They took about 210 steps to assemble. We rely upon premium materials and traditional production methods to ensure that our footwear is of the absolute highest quality.

Gentleman's Corner

Gentleman's Corner

These shoes come equipped with a so-called "gentleman's corner". This is a small notch cut from the inside corner of the heel. This has a practical purpose—it prevents your trouser leg from catching on your shoe.

This shoe boasts a high proportion of leather, and has been assembled without the use of adhesive bonding—both of these factors ensure proper air circulation and prevent moisture from penetrating the surface. Dry, well-ventilated feet are healthy feet.

Delivery Content

Of course, our focus is on your new pair of shoes. But to underline our passion for our products, we enclose a few extras in your shipment. We hope that sparks your excitement about your new footwear.

Our passion for our products is reflected in their packaging. All of our shoes come in an elegant black shoebox emblazoned with the logo. Said shoebox is easy to open, thanks to a special opening on the side, and comes with a note on our philosophy.

Shoe Bag

Shoe Bag

These shoes come stored inside two shoe bags, packed into a shoebox. Shoe bags are a great way to maintain their condition—they protect your footwear from soiling and scratching. They also let you transport your shoes in style.

Made in EU

While most of our peers in the shoe industry are still unable to guarantee shoes that are »made in the EU«, we’re able to prove that our shoes are just that. We use leather from France and Germany, manufacture our shoes in Spain, and run distribution and logistics in Germany—our shoes are 100% made in Europe.

Environmentally sustainable

For many companies, all that matters are the profits; they fail to take notice of the disastrous conditions under which hides are taken in Bangladesh, or shoes are manufactured in China. We turn instead to traditional European tanneries and Spanish craftsmanship, to the benefit of man and nature alike.

Our promise: since you’re purchasing directly from the manufacturer, you’re spared the typical high margins. You’re also spared the additional cost of paying for a brand name. Thanks to our advantageous wide reach and our low cost structure, we’re able to offer sensationally low prices.

From the provenance and treatment of the leather we use, to the conditions in our Spanish factory, to delivery with our logistics partner, we don’t leave any stone unturned. We provide copious, transparent information on every step in our supply chain.

Our team was founded by a pair of shoe lovers, and each and every employee focuses on satisfying our shoe-loving customers. Whether it’s graphic design, sales, marketing, editorial, or customer service, we handle all aspects of our business internally, ensuring our total control over all processes. We’re also owner-managed.

Your feedback

Your opinion is important to us; that’s how we define our business. If you’d like to express your satisfaction with our products and services, let us know. You can read reviews from other customers as well as experts in the shoe industry on the site. Your satisfaction is our top priority!

The values we live by

Lots of brands are quick to conceal the production methods behind their products, as well as the origins of the materials they use. We, on the other hand, have nothing to hide. From the very beginning, our products have been »Made in the EU«, in the classic sense. As such, we treat both our fellow man and the natural environment in a way that’s ecologically sustainable and ethically responsible. Each step on our supply chain is entirely transparent for you to see—that’s a promise we’re happy to stand by.
