Famaco Premium Shoe Cream: Cleaning, Care and Protection

Caring for leather shoes doesn’t merely serve to maintain their appearance (although that would be reason enough). It also entails preserving and lengthening the life of your footwear. As far as that’s concerned, Famaco premium shoe cream is indispensible. The oils and natural fats contained in the cream deeply penetrate the leather and help maintain its natural beauty. Famaco is one of France’s leading shoe care brands, and is renowned for its high-quality shoe creams.

If you’d like to keep your leather shoes in mint condition for years to come, you’ll need to care for them regularly. Leather contains fats and oils, which get depleted over time and need to be replaced. Without regular application of high-quality cream, even the best leather shoes will lose their shine and become brittle. Once that occurs, they’ll be vulnerable to damage—damage that’s easily avoidable.

Shiny Shoes, Thanks To Wax-based Shoe Cream

Good shoe creams consist of insoluble waxes and fats. Emulsifying agents ensure that these are combined in equal measures. In theory, water seems like a good and environmentally friendly cleansing agent, but in fact it’s completely unsuitable for effective leather care. Rapid loss of shine, decreased water resistance and diminished resistance against cold temperatures— these are three reasons among many not to treat leather with water. Turpentine or other natural oils are much better options. Famaco shoe cream consists of various bee and carnauba waxes, natural oils and fats: a great combination for porous and/or dyed leather.

Made In Paris: Deeply-nourishing Famaco Premium Shoe Cream

After the cream has been evenly applied to the shoe surface, the natural oils and fats contained within the formula penetrate and nourish the leather. Allow the cream to dry for about half an hour, and then polish the shoe using the appropriate brush. Famaco shoe cream also features colour pigments that revive leather colour.

In 1931, Frédéric Pfirter developed his »crème de beauté« shoe cream in his Parisian flat. His son Alain has led the family enterprise since 1974, and has made a name for it as one of France’s most successful shoe care manufacturers.

Famaco premium shoe cream is available in 50ml pots in colourless form, as well as in the following colours: black, green, beige, dark grey, light grey, ruby-red, light brown, dark brown, maroon, medium brown, ochre, red, hazelnut, nut brown, brown, black-brown, dark blue, burgundy, cognac, anthracite, grey-brown, chestnut, light beige, white, and taupe.
