Rendenbach Sole - Exclusive Quality with Tradition since 1871

More than 140 years have passed since Johann Rendenbach Junior founded the eponymous leather factory in Trier in 1871. Initially, great-grandfather and grandfather Rendenbach supplied upscale shoe repair workshops and manufacturers with the breathable and durable Rendenbach sole. However, the unique JR quality soon led to a demand for custom-made shoes for renowned shoe manufacturers.

Shoes with Rendenbach sole - high-quality products made from nature

The famous Altgruben tanning process is essential for the production of a high-quality Rendenbach sole. In around three-meter-deep oak pits, plant tannins combine with the soft leather fibers. Just like in the past, the traditional company Rendenbach only uses first-class leather hides and exclusively obtains the tannins from nature. The special tanning recipe consists of oak, spruce, and mimosa bark, as well as the Mediterranean valonea fruit. These natural products are a guarantee for the unique skin compatibility of the Rendenbach sole.

Advantages of Rendenbach quality with the brand seal

The JR brand seal of Rendenbach sole guarantees not only natural water resistance and shape stability, but also unparalleled comfort at the highest level. Rendenbach soles impress with their light weight, their climate-regulating effect, and their naturally elegant grain pattern. The traditional leather soles are completely biodegradable, comply with the Medical Products Act, and are also subject to ISO-9001 certification.
